Listening to Volume 1 - Jean Sibelius - The Complete Orchestral Music
Symphony No. 1 in E minor, opus 39, Finlandia Op. 26:7 The Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra - Neeme Järvi, Conductor A BIS LP, Recorded in 1982 BIS produces some incredibly good recordings and this set of Sibelius orchestral music is excellent. A great orchestra, excellent conductor and the beautiful music of Sibelius combine to make a to-die-for set of records. I like it!

Janine Jansen can really play the Vivaldi Four Seasons. Very popular recording, and the price for the SACD (which I know you have, Dan) has gone through the roof!

You are right about the price of the SACD version of this recording. Amazon has a new copy for $197.02 today. The standard CD is $12.99. Crazy.

A lazy Sunday summer afternoon - Hot as Hades outside - and I'm listening to my third infrequently played LP in my nice cool music place.
Listening to . . . . Schubert: Octet in F Major Philharmonisches Oktett Berlin A Deutsche Grammophon LP Sometimes I forget just how good a composer Herr Schubert was. This music and this recording are just great!

OK, One last LP before dinner . . . .
Listening to Bernstein Conducts Favorite Rossini Overtures New York Philharmonic Orchestra - Leonard Bernstein, Conductor. I have several different recordings (maybe 25) of this music and I think this Bernstein falls somewhere in the lower third. Not particularly exciting and not particularly recommended!

Melos Ensemble on EMI and Vienna Octet on Decca are my old favorites.
I might have to check this one out, but your post (i.e. image) is illegible other than "Berlin" Google search comes up Berlin Philharmonic Octet. That doesn't look right.
