So these are definitely the opposite of Mapleshade racks. The Core Audio inserts definitely work then. Rigid, high mass, low resonance racks will often solidify the bass with a tighter, deeper and more articulate response. The mids sometimes take on a more focused but forward character vs the softer wood species and less rigid/less mass racks that tend to darken and recess the mids a bit giving it a lusher, warmer presentation with bass that takes on a less controlled but more analog like response. Both can be used well to steer the system in one direction or another.
