I've owned a few corvettes including a Z06 and was recently in a Z06 with a drifting champ sideways around the whole track, my neck still hurts from that ride. No doubt a Corvette is a tremendous bang for the buck but I prefer Porsche. I got PDK by the way for the Cayman R, once you experience the advantage of dual clutch tranny around the track, it is hard to go back to a manual. I know many still prefer the manual though but I love PDK.

Jim, I am too tall for the track in a convertible, I would not be able to pass the broomstick rule with a helmet on. The spyder was a manual too while the Cayman R was ordered in PDK. My sons can drive it without me having to worry about burnt clutches and expensive, blown motor "money shifts".

Congrats on the new Cayman R, Serge! I'll be interested to get your thoughts on how it handles compared to the Boxster Spyder you used to have. I had a chance to drive a Boxster Spyder with PDK on the autocross course at the Porsche Sport Drivng School, and it was an absolute blast. I would think that the added rigidity of the Cayman R's coupe structure would help what is already a great chassis setup.

We just got another Porsche, but it is not quite so exciting as the Cayman R. Our daughter needed a larger car to use in her new real estate job, so we gave her Jenny's 07 X5 and got Jenny an 11 Cayenne S. We have just had it for three weeks and are really enjoying it.

Very nice C R. I had a Cayman S for a few years. It had terrific balance and was a blast to drive.

I saw a video video review of the C R recently. It was a comparo with the S. The reviewer was extremely impressed C R.

Mike, I searched for that video and found it. Thanks. Yes, the Cayman R will be on the track.

The "R" is home. First impression on the drive home was, this car is exactly what I envisioned for a track toy. Very crisp and firm ride, steering feel and feedback is telepathic and the car feels like a go kart on steroids. Yes, this will be one fun car to drive on the street and track.
