Man that's an easy one, don't go overboard and change ALL the power cords in your system and if possible ALL of the same make, Amplifier & Cd player in a dedicated Hubble recptacle and the power conditioner in another dedicated Hubble receptacle with the two interfaces pluged in the power conditioner ( power bar )

PS: Rather than one $1,000.00 Power Cord better have 4 of $250.00.

1 = Grant Fidelity RPF-120 Power Conditioner ( used as power bar )

2 = Grant Fidelity PC-1.5 Power Cords ( 4 ) Amp - Cd - Interfaces -

Give a try to the Rega power cables...I used to have Shunyata Anaconda, Furutech Reference, Combak, Nordost Valhalla, Electraglide, Purist Audio in my system and I have replaced all them by Rega Power Cables...I know that it is really difficult to believe that a cable costing not more than USd 150 replaced cables costing more than USD 2,5k...but after several tests , I had no doubt...the Rega Power Cables ( as well as the interconnectors ) are incredible and an amazing upgrade for any system ( not only Rega's systems )

Same here. Biggest improvement was on my integrated amp, when I replaced the stock cord with a Shunyata Venom3 (now on my A/V receiver) and then a Nordost Brahma, connected straight to the wall.

For me it depended on the specific gear in question more than the class(amp, pre, etc...).

For me the first upgrade that really impacted performance was synergy for the power chord and my preamp. I replaced an old preamp that was dying in the early 2000's. The new Classe brought out all the flaws in my system; bad vibrations from chintzy cabinet, AC noise, etc. I used my turntable to evaluate stuff. The SOTA is pretty impervious to vibration. I found the Harmonic Technology ProAC11 worked really well. This improved performance overall as everything is connected to the Preamp.

The next upgrade was the same AC chord for the Rotel CD player I was running. It is easier to carry and play CDs to the hifi saloons to consider borrowing stuff to try at hone. From there I was able to find a power conditioner system that continued the improvements for my front end. Then I upgraded the power amp AC chord and found a conditioner system for the amp that continued improving performance.

I always try to get big bang for the buck and have found very satisfying pairings with my different gear. I've made decisions on what I want to spend for stuff, just like everyone here has. After going to local high performance exhibitions and events which is always fun, I find myself enjoying what I've hand assembled at home.
