Thumbs up A Night Of 80's Rock & Ribs!

In a college town about an hour and a half drive from me, the MN Vikings hold their training camp. It's also the home of the 12th annual ribfest. On Friday night, Night Ranger was headlining. So a buddy and me (being products of the 80's) decided to roadtrip down there. (The Mrs. being a huge Night Ranger fan herself back in the day, didn't make the cut and had to stay home with the kids. Sorry honey*)

There was a great turnout of people, and the weather cooperated for the most part. You could see a storm was blowing in. But the rockin' went on. Both young and young-at-heart were all on the same rockin' page. And the band looked like they were having a blast up onstage. They played all their classics. Plus, Jack Blades who was also in a band with Ted Nugent and Tommy Shaw (Styx) called the Damn Yankees, played their hits too.

After the show we found ourselves in what they call a "gentleman's club" for a nightcap.

Unfortunately, getting old is like kryptonite, and my recovering powers aren't what they use to be. Moving a bit on the slow side today.

To summarize, it was a totally awesome (80's term) evening. To quote the mighty Night Ranger, you can still rock in America.

*I did buy the Mrs. a T-shirt though.

Ditka says so!

Ditka was right.
