And yes, the system does absolutely rock. It has no upper limit. I found Wooly Bully on Hdtracks by Vinnie Jones. One track for $1.98. I'm a roller skater. If Dr. Ruark is not at home at night, he's most likely at the skating rink doing all sorts of moves, tricks, and dancing like crazy. There's always a lot of on watchers. I enjoy skating around the curve at high speed close to them, flipping around and back around finishing with a two step all in a split second. I love to slide. You reach top speed fast as you can go and right before you reach the wall turn the skates sideways and side for about 10 feet. Most have never seen a slide. They think I'm going to crash. It would be a tough choice between my skates and my XVX. I'm serious. It takes perfect balance and lot's of leg strength to skate. So yes, I like it loud, sometimes. Ivan, ha, ha, a roller skating floor doesn't allow for this. It's all about being in the "zone". First you must warm up. Last Sunday night about 1.5 hours into my skate I'm really into it, I look down and I'm skating on my rear wheels, actually skating, not just rolling. I had never done that in all my years skating. I had about a 50 year hiatus during which my heavy responsibilities prevented this dangerous activity. Then on Tuesday night I was able to turn around backwards on my rear wheels. Front wheel skating is great fun. I can skate on my front wheels and turnaround backwards in one smooth motion and skate backwards on my front wheels, but not to music. Requires leg strength and balance or you fall.

Me and T-Stacks Frank, he's one of the best skaters in America.
Me doing some crazy stuff with Mike and Emily, Mike's daughter. Both are significantly better than me, but hey, I'm an old man. My skates, Riedell Pro Boot, Snyder Super Deluxe Plate Bones Ceramic Bearings FOMAC Premier Sliding Wheels, 36 years old plate boot and case. Waiting on my Riedell Pro Boot Last edited by Charles; 02-11-2022 at 05:16 AM. |

prepress, there's a lot of wisdom on the floor. Several months ago it was crowded and I made a dude who was skating backwards around the curve fall. I apologized profusely. He said it was ok, "That's the way life is, when you fall you pick yourself up, and go on." We are all brothers and sisters on the floor: black, white, hispanic, oriental. Your age doesn't matter. My best friend is Antonio. He skates like a cat and is about one third my age. He's amazing but not in T-Stack's orbit. T-Stacks says you can do anything you want to do on skates, it just depends on how bad you want to do it. Lot of wisdom in that statement.
Best Charles p.s. Ed is 58, oriental, and obsessed with front wheel skating. I was watching Antonio last night and he goes to his front wheels does a lightning move turnaround on his front wheels skates backwards on his front wheels doing all sorts of stuff, then turns frontward, all on the front wheels, all in about 30 seconds. Ed can't come close to this. I thought, "my goodness, how I wish I could do that." I'm a good dancer. Antonio and I dance together a lot. I hung a toe stop skating on my front wheels and had a fall. The right knee hurt/stung for a while. But you pick yourself up and go on. Falls are a part of life and skating. I try not to experience too many of them. My weird audio joke aside, life is all about how it's lived and for what purpose. Your backward-skating dude has a point. You lose if you don't get up. Notice I said "don't," not "can't." And your point about age being a non-factor is true as well. Two of my better friendships are with women who each could be my daughter. Common ground is what brings us together; both relationships started in church as a result of Sunday school (I teach adults and young adults at my church). I was a bit amazed that either wanted to be friends, but both friendships have proven to be rich experiences. Wouldn't trade them.
