Running Vista here,
there was a time that I used to run a dual boot with Windows XP (and later on vista), combined with Suse (linux), but eventually, windows was more 'easy' to live with.
More like a plug & play component. push button, use pc, whereas with linux, everything was different.

keep them spinning,
Bert.

Good question! It would be either XP or Mac OS.

There are two of us in the house. We have 3 Mac laptops and 1 PC laptop. I also keep a legacy PC which I can use with older media I have items saved on. They seldom get turned on.

Used to be a big Linux fan using Suse and still prefer it to Microsoft but now run Windows Vista because the one site thing I needed to use wouldn't work with Linux.

Always seems like there is one or two pieces of software that won't run on anything but a windows pc.

I voted XP, though the reality is I use mostly 2000Pro, Ubuntu and Suse. It all depends on which machine I decide to drag out.
