Giya toe in
As a new Giya owner (not even 24 hours yet) I am struggling to figure out the optimal toe in angle. One angle will sound good on some recordings but not as much on other recordings. I'd be grateful for a number of responses about what toe in you are using. Specific info like an approximate angle or
where the drivers point is much appreciated!!! |

Almost none, a few degrees at most.
Certainly nowhere near the toe suggested in the manual. |

A little bit of toe in here.
Not like in a equilateral triangle.

I have the G2 tweeters pointing to my ears.

With my B1's, the right tweeter is pointing at my left eye and the left tweeter is pointing at my right eye. This has the best imaging with good size of instruments. Anything with less toe in, the size of voice and instruments are too big.

I have been playing with toe in on B1 and agree that crossing the speakers at a point just in front of you gives you a smaller image compared to a slightly reduced toe in. Still playing to see what i prefer but it will never be perfect for every record or track. Its the price you pay for being pedantic about such things.
Best to find a mostly good option and be happy with that. Last couple of records the vocals have been a bit too up front and large so maybe a touch more toe in will see me happier. |

I found that limited toe-in sounds best to me. So that means that if you were to pull a string from each speaker to your seating position, they should cross behind your listening position. The speakers are therefore not pointed directly at the ears but somewhat outward. That works best for me, but you would need to experiment to find out your ideal positioning.

But I believe each toom requires a specific setup. You need to experiment.
