Default Accuphase introduce new SACD/CD separates

900+901 Transport / DAC
They looked quite similar to the 800+801 they replaced
Not sure about technical details, but the DAC now has USB-B input
But they are a bit more expensive. at 1,155,000 Yen each
up from 950,000 Yen in previous model.

Ah yes. Nice to dream about a pair of A-65's or M-6000's plus a 2810 and now 900+901.

Pure beauty.

Hmm... now the preamp of dream must be C3800.
new class A amp are A46, E560. But I guess I can't post a link
and I don't know how to post pictures too.
I wonder how they sound these days. Long time ago I owned P-360
and P11 power amp, sounded gorgeous but may be not very dynamic
and fast. And also the balance connections are out of phase to most American gears.
I wish I have 900/901 > C3800 > M8000.

I used to own the DP700 which is very close in sound to the 800/801. It sounded great. A little bit of warmth mixed with a transparent sound. I must go listen to the 900/901

Heard the DP-900 and DC-901 the other day on preview, sound much better than their predecessors. The construction is one grade higher, since these are 40th Anniversary models, the first such model being the C-3800 preamplifier last year (the anniversary models are being released on a staggered basis, we can expect another one next year). The DAC chips are the ESS ES9018 8 channel models this time, one each per channel used in mono mode. The I/V converter is fully discrete. Have ordered them, will be out late July in Japan.

Correction:

four ESS ES9018 chips, not two, so effectively 16 DACs per channel!
Just got the DP-900 and DC-901, still burning in, but sounding superb!
