Very nice. Beautiful gear. If I ever go back to solid-state (when I'm too old to change tubes ) I'll likely go with Accuphase. Simply stunning stuff.

Received the exact model three weeks ago to replace E-450. Not that the E-450 was no slouch and very happy with the sound, but needed a balanced output for Phonitor 2 and could not come to terms with unbalanced to balanced converters, wall warts and all. Even though the Phonitor 2 can connect directly to DAC, I found the presentation a bit thin, even when the impedance is in spec and not overloaded.
Providing a strong output impedance now to the Phonitor 2, has restored the punch and delivery only a pre-amplifier can provide. The other balanced out feeds a P-4200 also delivered the same time as the pre-amp. Although the E-450 has a great quality to it, the C-2420 just adds that little extra in terms of resolution and drive. Still burning in, haven't been home to listen much, from what I have heard, has surpassed all expectations. This would be Accuphase product #3 and #4, first purchased an E-205 in 1987, which is still working. Once you have Accuphase, it is very, very difficult to listen to another amplifier. |

Wish I still got it.. Sweet amp. Cool that you still have your classic up and running. As for newer offering (pre-amps), only heard the C-3800 which is awesome. e-302.JPG Last edited by jdandy; 08-19-2014 at 04:05 PM. Reason: Enlarge photo. |

I feel the same way, which is one reason why I'm so drawn to this brand.
