So worry not about having to leave them on for maximum performance, to me they already sounded great/acceptably so usually only after half through my first CDs.. that's about 30-40mins!

Heat : They only run *mildly hot to the touch and not charringly so as most other Class-As do. (*air-conditioned room).

My A-65 is warm but never really hot. It can be touched by hand and leave fingers on it without burnt skin. No AirCon here in France. Maximum temp inside living room is 26/27dC.

I would say 1.5 / 2hrs Max to sound its best.
Some days (for example on Sundays) I might leave it powered from 10am until 9pm. It is absolutely temperature stable.

Pass amps run hotter. ;-)

Ivan.......That is funny. Had I been an Accuphase salesman demoing these two amps for you, my closing statement would have been more along this line, "I can deliver either pair this evening so Mr. Messer, shall we write up a pair of M6000's or a pair of A200's?"

It's a tough choice. The TAD R1 would sing with either A-200 or M-6000. The M-6000 are better value but it might be worth looking up the bluebook on their predecessor, the M-8000. Longer term IMO, the A-200 will maintain a higher prestige factor.
