Hi Pete,

I always wonder if the Crown Vintage Series can be modified to 240v just by changing the windings on the transformer, akin to the McIntosh of old?

To this day I look at the available Crown gear out there, in particular the Distinction series of products that came along in the late 70's or early eighties. These premium products were pretty pricey but can be found for reasonable prices today. The main problem there is having the space for yet another system. But you never know....

So ,I am a french forumer involved by the vintage as every one here and I had the opportunity to forward your crown pictures within the french forum "audiovintage" every one there were enthousiast upon these very rare units we cannot find in Europa...Congrats!

Raymond....I'm flattered that you would send my pictures for others to look at. The photos in this thread are actually pretty old...my vintage Crown system is very different and much better now...
