I've always been big on Vitamin D for boosting immune health. When Americans were returning from World War 1 which was right in the middle os the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic entire ships were sick. In Boston they had huge field hospitals setup doctors discovered that moving sick patients out of tents and putting them in the sun they started to recover. The death rate dropped from 40 percent down to 10 percent. Sun is vitamin D. During World War 1 and 2 before antibiotics when wounded soldiers needed their bandages changed weather permitting they would do it outside in the sun. Letting wounds soak up sun.

Two or three months ago I saw Dr Harvy Risch MD. PhD Epidemiology Yale School Of Public Health discussing Covid and the vaccines and he said Vitamin D and Zinc are probably more effective than the vaccines in preventing Covid.

Last night was maybe the worst in my life. Every part of my body was in pain. I may be turning the corner now as I think I'm feeling just a tad better, but my back is still hurting a ton!

It's important to distinguish vaccines from therapeutics, as they do different things. The primary and most important role of vaccines is a public health one: to 1) reduce the transmission within a population and for individuals that have been infected, they prevent a statistically and most importantly, practically significant proportion of infected individuals within that population from 2) ending up in the hospital and 3) dying. They are not perfect, because nothing is perfect. They're very important for public health because they mitigate the impact of morbidity and mortality with both statistical and practical significance in a population overall*, and are key to prevention of the development of new variants.

Vaccines are not therapeutics, Paxlovid and Molnupiravir are therapeutics.

*–Vaccination is why Vaccinia (smallpox) has been eradicated, and why poliomyelitis has been is no longer a public health risk from any practically significant perspective.

Sorry to hear this Freddie.
It seems different doctors prescribe different things. Mine just prescribed me a Z-pack, and told me to load up on Vitamin C and Zinc. I hear D is good for this as well.

I too felt like I'd been runover by a bus, along with classic cold-like symptoms, sore throat at cough. It took ne 11 days to get a negative test again. All is well now...

Hang in there my friend!

I think covid vaccines were a bust for the most part. I had the original covid version before vaccines in November 2020. Never got real sick just lethargic for a month. This past June went friends had a 30th wedding anniversary party and the hostess sent out a group Email 2 days later saying she had a 102 fever went to the hospital and tested positive. The Omicron version. After 72 hours she was back to normal. But of the 20 guests at the party 15 tested positive including me. We were all vaccinated. I never got sick. Just isolated for 10 days . All these young people dying of heart attacks after another booster shot. Hardly a day goes by without hearing how a young healthy person drops dead of a heart attack. In Toronto Canada 5 healthy Doctors all died from heart attacks in one week. . I got both moderna shots because I though Biden was going to impose a no flying ban without proof of vaccination. No boosters for me. I'll stick to my Vitamin D Zinc regiment.

Respectfully, not going to engage in a debate about facts, because facts, by definition, are known to be true and thus, are not subject to debate, any more than f=ma is subject to debate. Cheers.
