My LP-2030 arrived yesterday and I couldn’t wait for my 300B-v to be built to hear it so I hooked it up to a little SET amp from Decware. I could tell immediately that the little Decware amp had never sounded so good. This pre is gong to be really good and I love the look of it on top of the sound. It’s a little jewel. Great audio purchase!

the LP2030 is price range independent one of the best preamps. If the source has the same level you will have a lot of fun with it.

HI All,

In the past had the Cary 300SEI integrated and loved it, from the later 1990's. Just had a friend offer me these two lovely items, a" Fire Bottle SE HO " long chassis and a LP27a....wanting to get some more information on the amplifier.
I assume this is the best spot with people who know this gear, I am using Spatial Audio M3 Triode Master speakers....sound is amazing!

My LP-2030 was shipped with a 5U4gb rectifier. I know the 5U4g and 5U4gb are very similar but somewhat different. Can I safely use either in the preamp? I’m unfamiliar with what my rectifier choice should limited too.

Either should be fine. The 5U4G is an earlier version and has, if I recall correctly, slightly lower ratings. However, the G is the ST, or coke bottle shaped tube, and the GB is typically straight sided.

As teased in earlier posts, we here at the Inspire workshop have endeavored to create an amazing new speaker in a more compact design....

Well, actually, we did whatever Dennis told us to and still managed to contribute to the creation of a little giant of a loudspeaker. This pair of speakers sounds like something at least two, maybe three times it size.

These are the prototypes of a yet unnamed model of loud speakers specifically tuned to maximize enjoyment of an Inspire audio system.

Expect the retail model to be available in a variety of veneers and finishes.

The retail model will also have "Inspire" between the two vertical drivers. The may be an inlay or engraving, we haven't quite decided which.

Speakers measure 35cm x 28cm x 23cm or 14" x 11" x 9"

The design is acoustic suspension/sealed box

Efficiency is approximately 90 db/w/m and the speaker's impedance was, at last check, somewhere in the 6-8 ohm range.

Speakers are mirror imaged. Tweeter is designed to be on the outside of each speaker.

No grill is currently planned.

The recommended stand will be available separately at it's manufacturer's website. Details to follow

However, realize that these are true bookshelf speakers, so they could be placed just about anywhere.

Dennis was not in a good mood today, but as we got closer to having these things buttoned up and ready to play, he started getting happier and happier. Once we started listening to them and confirmed that his idea for this design was a bullseye, he got downright merry.

He originally told me that he was going to keep them at the shop and let them run all night to break them in. However, the more I listened to them, the more I knew that they weren't staying in the shop all night....

"Gee Dear, look what followed me home...a poor lonely set of speakers...

He's been texting me all night about how good they sound, I think he likes them....

This is the first place these will be made available for sale. I am expecting the price to come in around the cost for one of Dennis' amps.

And thank you so glad to know this wonderful community exists!
I have my Ho and LP27a hooked up and they are sounding really good.
They were built in July 2015 and I wondered if Dennis offers any upgrades to the amplifier since that time?

The power amp is on the elongated chassis, a bit different from later models, so thought maybe there were some changes that could further the sound as well.
