Default Laserdiscs...what to do with them?

I probably have about 20-30 laserdiscs that will never see the light of day on DVD or Blu-Ray, therefore I'm keeping my Mc MLD7020. I know I should just transfer them to DVD-R...

What should I do with the common titles? Titles you can get NEW on DVD for a few bucks or even on Blu-ray for $10. I really can't see them being worth anything, anytime soon.

But then again, people still buy Betamax, 8-tracks, etc...on Ebay.

Good question. I have about 300 and most are concerts which I have not found on dvd. I also have a bunch of classic b/w movies on laser. My Denon laser disc doesn`t play anymore but wish I could get it repaired.

I probably have a hundred plus that haven't seen the light of day (or a laser) in about 12 years.

If any of you have Stevie Nicks' Bella Donna Tour on Laser Disc, I would actually pay money to get a copy on DVD-R.

I had approx. 160 +/- that I gave away to my friends and relatives back in the day. I still have a few for whatever reason. One of them is Bram Stoker's Dracula but I don't have an LD to play it on anymore.

I still have several laser disc players. Two summers ago I bought a Pioneer AC-3 decoder so I could still get the sound since processors don't have the AC-3 input any more. Just recently I Ebayed a Mac-3 to upgrade to better potential sound. I have it in the rack, but I haven't actually wired it in yet. I do like the lights.

I still have hundreds of laser discs around. I still have hundreds of LPs around.

I recently Ebayed a reel to reel, and I bought a turntable from Jeff at A/V solutions. I want to keep open my options for all of these formats.

I was wondering how Cd's sound on them, compared to modern CD players.

Mark.

... at the time, I was always happy with the sound of CDs on my Pioneer Elite laser disc player.
