Stephen...congrats my friend on your purchase of a very fine Rega 'table. I recommend the Exact cartridge because it's a great deal and no fuss having to add spacers and such to the tone arm affecting the VTA. All this said it's a great 'table right out of the box and one you can tweak if the desire should occur. Looking forward to your pix and impressions.

Somehow the Exact just doesn't really appeal to me. If I ultimately go with a MM cartridge, it will be more along the lines of a Clearaudio Maestro Wood or a Soundsmith Ebony Voice.

The Exact outperforms its price tag. It must be heard to be believed.
