Yes, you can certainly create some content on youtube and generate interest that way. Many would enjoy a good review and I don't think there is as much as there should be on McIntosh.

thanks... I'm trying to imagine how much better (hard to believe it can) it will sound some day when I have a proper listening room.. but considering the situation I'm more than pleased.

You can make your current room sound even better in the mean time. Need to invest a bit into acoustic panels. The room acoustics are one of the biggest factors of sound quality. Often much more than difference between components. Even the bigger artificial plants in the room go a long way to diffusing the hard reflections.

Good point on the plants - I visited a dealer in Singapore some time ago and he used plants really effectively to create a nice ambience while ‘taming’ the room as well. Was an MBL set up which was actually quite incredible!

Yes I’ve used artificial plants with great success in different rooms over the years.

Sure, the fully treated, dedicated room that was built out with a Golden ratio in mind, which meant I had to do an 11 ft basement ceiling height when the house was being built (expensive) sounded the best.

The rooms with no acoustic panels but tall and leafy artificial plants at the early reflection points as well as in the corners, worked very well and was pleasing to the eyes. Much less expensive, pleasing to the eye.

There is no such thing as “complete” in this crazy hobby.

Very nice system! Thanks for sharing.

The words “Complete” and “Done” simply don’t apply to this addiction; err hobby.
