I'm 81 and did the Pfizer cycle, completing it four months ago, with no ill effects from either shot save for slight soreness at the injection site that lasted about five hours. Same for my younger wife. We've noted no side effects since.

Well those who decide not to vaccinate could be challenging natural selection.

Important to understand...

More Vaccinated People Are Dying of COVID in England Than Unvaccinated – Here’s Why

Given the same risk of infection, we would still expect to see more double-vaccinated 70-year-olds die from COVID than unvaccinated 35-year-olds.

600k+ deaths and not done yet. The death rate may be “only” 2% (of diagnosed cases), but the seasonal flu death rate is .1% or less. The cancer death rate is .1%. F there were a vaccine for cancer, should you get it? 2% is pretty damned high.

There’s another consideration here, alluded to by others: we don’t achieve heard immunity until at least 70% are vaccinated, maybe more for the Delta variant. We are the country of personal liberty as long as it doesn’t infringe on others. So, being unvaccinated and a potential carrier of a potentially deadly virus and infecting others, does that infringe on other people’s liberty? We are the country of personal liberty, but we’re also the country that pulls together for the common good and the good of the country. We did that with polio, we did it in WWII. Don’t we, as good citizens, have an obligation to our country and fellow citizens to help try to achieve herd immunity?

There’s also the impact your personal choices has on others closer to you: it’s like the seatbelt debate of the last century, where people argued that if they didn’t want to wear a seatbelt it was their choice because they were only risking their own life. I hear the same thing about the Covid vaccine, but that argument ignores the impact on others: the family trauma, the strain on the healthcare system that causes delays for treatment of other illnesses, the stress on medical staff, the strain on hospital capacity. When did we, as Americans, decide that our personal liberty to not get vaccinated, or even wear a mask for that matter, rose above any obligation to our fellow citizens, society as a whole, or our country?

Why are vaccinated people so afraid of unvaccinated people?

BTW, side effects are you body's way of telling you it's been poisoned.

It is not an indication that the vaccine is working.

Actually it can be an indication. I realize it’s probably an oversimplification, but I always thought that the way most vaccines work is they give you a small infection so your body can develop defenses to fight off the big one. And the most common side effect is a sore arm, which you could get from injecting just about anything into an arm.
