klipsch.......Thanks for the reviews. Although the are old reviews, the PMC AML1 is still in PMC's active speaker lineup. The AML1's would make short work of a very nice surround sound system.

Surround sound set-up would be nice!.

MCD500 and a pair of AML1's for a small system......

That would be one of the few (non hernia-inducing) McIntosh and PMC systems available..........

klipschfan.......I could see the new McIntosh processor, and seven of the PMC AML1's plus a sub, making a killer surround sound system.

+1 and still weigh less than a pair of BB5's.

What is the current price of these?

I agree that these and an MCD 500/Sonos would make an amazingly simple beautiful sounding set up.

We have decided to proceed with the development of an AML1-mk.II to incorporate a number of substantial electronic, mechanical and cosmetic upgrades which will significantly improve the robustness of the product and give it a new lease of life.

We are expecting to have these changes implemented in time to restart deliveries in the first week of September 2009.

We have considered that any amplifier updates will be retrofitable so as to maintain service of previously sold product. A more detailed bulletin on impact of this product to warranty of older AML1 will be issued latter .

The product will remain as an analogue purist design, not a digital amp.

Also... Any orders taken between now and September will be covered by the MK.II version , there is no doubt that the MK.II will attract an increase in the price. We will calculate this in early June again after the original research is completed . If orders are placed ( with a 25% deposit ) BEFORE the new price is issued then they will be honoured at the existing AML price!

Ian.......That sounds like a fantastic deal. Order the new AML1 MkII before September, and beat the price increase. That's a sweet deal for those interested.
