Lyra Delos update. I've spent a few more hours fine tuning my tone arm and cartridge setup. I adjusted the VTA by raising the tone arm 2.5 mm then rechecked everything else. Big improvement overall (the bass had been too dominant/heavy previously as the cartridge got some hours on it). Still great bass, but isn't overloading everything else. As they noted in the instructions VTA is critical to this cartridge!

That makes sense. Going tail down on VTA can emphasize bass/mid. In my case going a bit tail-down on the Talisman smoothes out the high frequencies and gives more weight and warmth to the lower frequencies. If I have VTA set where the tonearm is perfectly parallel (i.e. neither tail-up or -down) my cartridge is a bit screechy. Fortunately I have the VTA lifter on my tonearm and can adjust it on the fly, even while a record is playing.

Good new for me. My concept was bent by my son, since then I bought an acrylic cover. Trade on is better than nothing.
