47 Labs Phono cube
Does anyone on forum has experience with 47 Labs Phono...I use it with 47 Labs MC Bee Cartridge on Kuzma reference mk2 with 4point arm and i must say good sinergy...very natural presentation of sound indeed...i like 47 labs scool of sound...simplicity of design but know how...47 labs cart and phono very natural and inviting combination...too bad they dont make Miyabi carts anymore...that would be the end of my quest...

Hi,
I’ve used the 47 Labs PhonoCube with two Humpties for quite a few years now. At this moment, a McBee appends to my Graham Supreme arm on a Roksan TMS3. I’d describe the sound as dynamic to the point of “not for the faint of heart”. Also, for a phono stage sans setting options, it’s proved remarkably compatible with a great number of cartridges. The MCBee and 47/Miyabi, of course, but also the entire range of Dynavectors, EMTs and their derivations, any number of Lyras, some Denons and Shelters, I know I’m forgetting some. Low internal impedances are best, but not mandatory. I can’t tell you I’ve canvassed every phono stage in and around the PhonoCube’s price range, but I’m not looking to change mine anytime soon. I hope this has been a little help. -Mark |
