A great lens. Still have the original film version of this lens (24-70/F2.8 Canon L).

For digital, I switched to the micro 4/3 format (Olympus).
The equivalent lens is:
M.ZUIKO ED 12-40MM F2.8 PRO, which is 24-80mm/F2.8 in full-frame 35mm terms.

But less than 1/2 the weight of the L lens...

EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM it is.
