Accuphase DP-75 "Digital Recorders" output/inputs
Hi,
I have a doubt about my newly acquired DP-75 and maybe the longtime Accuphase users here can help me First, the unit works perfectly fine and I love the sound presentation, both as CD player and as processor. Now my doubt. The DP-75 has a "digital recorders" IN / OUT digital connection. I thought it could be used to create a digital loop with my DG-58 (the "External dsp" loop of modern Accuphase players), but now that I am using it, it seems not. The manual is absolutely dry regarding possible connections. What do you think? I find strange that if the "digital recorders in" is simply another digital in, why not put it in the normal "digital inputs", for example as number 3? |

Mattia.......According to Accuphase literature the digital recorders' optical and coaxial inputs and outputs are there so that an owner can use up to two external digital recorders. As an example, you can connect a DAT recorder to one set of digital inputs and outputs and a CD recorder to the other set of digital inputs and outputs. If you do not wish to install digital recorders in your system, the optical and coaxial inputs can simply be used as additional inputs to the DP-75's processor.

Thank you jdandy for confirming my suspects
Well, I'll continue to use the DP-75 as a DAC after the DG-58. Last edited by Mattia; 05-15-2015 at 04:00 AM. |
