Audeze LCD-4 arrived today

The LCD 4's and Wireworld cables sound fantastic on my Moon 430. They will mate well with any good amplifier. You may want to check out the EAR Hp-4 as well.

The difficulty I have is finding opportunities to audition kit. As it happens Robert, the EAR Hp-4 is one that I will experience. The review of the Dragon IHA-1 is very promising but again, would be very difficult for me to hear one in advance of making a final purchase.

I use an Aurilac Taurus headphone amp with my Focal Utopias and have heard your headphones through one also. They are a fantastic combination.

Similar setup running on a Woo tube amp with all upgrades. The combo with tubes seems so perfect to me. Congrats on the 4s and yes a nice amp will be huge over the 1100, when I plug them into the c500 it is not in the same league as the Woo, you are in for a serious treat as soon as you get a nice dedicated amp.

I also have a Moon 430 with my LCD-4's....this is a magnificent HP but one that will not be able to shine without ample power....do not skimp on amplification if you spend 4K on these beuaties

I was just recently at CanJam NYC 2017 and this was my experience... For the first 2-3 minutes, I was getting really annoyed because I thought a live band had started playing in the showroom. Then I realized there was no live band in the showroom. I had been tricked! Their setup sounded so real that I had been totally convinced a real band was playing in the room. That is simply amazing! My highest recommendation. By far the best sounding setup at the show. I liked it even more that the new Sennheiser Orpheus HE-1 that costs $55,000.

For what it is worth, the dac they were using was the PS Audio PerfectWave DirectStream Junior Dac.

Keep in mind, not all tracks offered that level of realism but some sure did. It was incredible!
