Thanks for sharing Joe, what a great opportunity to demo these amps!

The challenge will be remembering how they sounded over the coming months when you start to try other amps - if you could end up with your top 2 and then have both in your room at the same time it would be ideal but this of course may not be practical. How long before you get to try the VAC?

You are correct. Remembering will be a challenge.

I have my dealer working on the VAC. We aren’t sure it can be done yet. If not then I will have to find someone who will allow me to hear their system. It won’t be the same, but at least it will give me an idea of what to expect. As you know VAC and EMM are SOTA. So are the other amps on our list to try …..

This said, I love EMM’s FREE program. If I can get the VAC then I will ask EMM to bring back their amps. EMM is so helpful and giving … (but so is Kevin at VAC).

Are you still evaluating the EMM Labs amps Joe, or have you moved on to VAC?

I’m probably not going to do VAC now because of the tube shortage. Fortunately I ordered some extra VAC tubes early on for my phono stage. They will be here in the next week or two.

However, I’m still looking forward to hearing Constellation, Soulution, and now I’ve added DartZeel. Looks like I’ll be doing some traveling to hear at least two of these amps. Unfortunately, they won’t be in my own system …

I listened to the big Constellation mono's driving big Rockport's at the RMAF in 2018. Amazing sounding amps.

Hopefully you'll be able to audition them through a pair of Magico's. Preferably the M3's.

Thanks. Yes, M3s would be the best audition for sure.
