Biamp versus Monoblocks
I have a speakers with a separate binding posts for LF and HF/MF section.
And I want to ask the community, what is the best - use two monoblocks or two stereo power amps in "vertical" biamping? |

As long as the amps have the power - and those look to be very hungry for power - I'd go with stereo amps and cut down on the number of amps you have to rack or stack.

Is it going to be active or passive bi-amping?
I would go for the mono blocks if they are higher powered, tho active bi amping could bring about some benefits in those speakers too. But give some thought of direct access to the drivers for an even seamless pass through of signal from amp to driver. Sent from my iPhone using A.Aficionado |

Mono then. Usually built better than stereo, with higher power.

Personally I would go monoblocks, make sure you use matching jumpers made by your speaker cable manufacturer or even cables from the next level up.
Hope this helps, good luck choosing |

I wouldn't say mono's are built better than stereo amps, they're just more robust because you're using one channel on a single power supply vs two channels off of a single power supply. So in that respect, with mono blocks, you can deliver more power and more importantly, more current to the speakers.
