Thanks for the input. Good idea about taking the amp to a dealer. Haven't found a dealer within 100 miles who carries Klipsch Heritage yet.

I learned something from Dennis today about the new PSE amp circuit which might make you all's heads spin. It has mine. The output tubes do not have to be rolled in quads. The biasing allows the roller to pair up dissimilar tubes in each channel. Imagine the clarity of a 6v6 paired with the punch of a KT77,... from the same amp at the same time. A tube rollers dream, or maybe nightmare. I think I have to have one.

Each tube is individually biased. A real neat trick when you're paralleling output tubes.

Have you had a listen? With the mix and match output combos?

I brought my amp and pre to a friends house. We listened through some modified La Scalas. We were both pretty amazed. Yes, the combo was better than the Heresy III...that I can easily live with. I don't have a proper room for K Horns or La Scalas. The Heritage speakers are all great with tubes. BTW, I had La Scalas for 23 years.

That's my understanding also, the Heritage speakers are all great with tubes. I heard a friend's stock LaScalas with 8 watt tube amps around ten years ago. I don't remember exactly how they sounded, but it impressed me enough that I immediately started using tube amps with the Coincident Technology speakers I had.

There are some really cool and beautiful modified Heresy's on the bay from seller 509dcb ending in about 13 hours. Beyond my budget, but only a two hour drive to pick them up - very tempting.
