Soon, very soon. I need a few more hours on them first. But like you stated it will transform the system.

The MPods are amazing.

Quote:
The design of the MPOD is based on the scientific principles of Constrained Layer Damping (CLD), an extremely effective way to channel unwanted vibrations away from a component and its platform. The robust-yet-elegant MPOD is comprised of multiple machined aircraft-aluminum and tungsten steel parts that, when assembled, form a vertical stack. A solid pure-copper substrate center section is sandwiched by a top and bottom layer of ISODAMP a thermoplastic material that, when compressed against the copper substrate, facilitates the constrained layer damping function and dissipates unwanted energy virtually immediately.

Prior to installation the top and bottom halves of the MPOD are held apart by a center spindle and pull-pin. Once the MPOD is installed the removal of the pull-pin engages the CLD properties of the MPOD. Once the pin is removed, no hardware is connected between the top and bottom part of the MPOD, effectively “floating” the component placed on it. The results: increased resolution, more focused imaging and improved soundstage.

Many thanks to everyone for their comments. Mono and Stereo may be running a photo or two soon - I’m not sure.

I have all Krall’s albums. She’s one of my favorites. She’s on tour now. We plan on going soon.

IMO, appropriately decorating a home Audio Room is kind of fun. We essentially turned our whole Great Room into an celebration concerning audio. With the assistance of my better half, we’ve done some audio interior design. See some general pics below.

Today’s addition:

Tim Leefeldt builds Sax lamps. Tim is a great guy and extremely talented. He enjoys audio. And he’s quite a designer.

He builds lamps using new or used real saxophones. This one pictured is an Alto Sax that has a regular LED light bulb and a LED nightlight in it. The nightlight puts off a blue glow. It has a wood tambourine & steel base. It’s extremely nice for a Great Room.

You can order one similar to this style from Railroadware.com - Sax Lamp

Delivery times may vary depending upon the options you select, but for one like ours it’s app. three weeks. They are hand built to order.

JoeN, thank you again for sharing this beautiful room and system. The décor and taste rivals Ivan's who I have always felt was the reference in this area. The photography is as good as anyone's on AA. The lamp and print of the Sax are beautiful. Coincidentally, I just downloaded that The Association Album. Wendy is one of my favorite songs. I think your taste and mine overlap. I am really enjoying this Diana Krall CD. I have another download of hers. I should buy more.

Best

Charles

p.s. After 5 hours of gym, I eat and pass out on the den sofa. I wake up when I wake up, take my meds (I'm an old man) and go upstairs for music. I go back to sleep about 4-5 am and arise when I feel like it.

Charles,

Many thanks for your kind words. Except for time at the gym (I walk that’s it), I think we have a lot of overlap. I’m old too and probably take more meds than you. Just finished all that heart attack testing stuff a week ago. I’m ok, at least so they say. :Imao:

The Associations are one of my old time favorites. I have them on CD and LP. Wendy is a absolute great song.

I own all Krall’s CD and LPs too. Live in Paris (on LP in 45) is probably my favorite, but all of them are great. The Look of Love is also a rememberable album. She’s on tour right now, so you may be able to catch a concert.

Another artist that is a favorite is Sinne Eeg. She’s Danish and she can sing…. “Windmills of Your mind” and “Strawberry Fields Forever” are two of my favorite songs and she really does them well. Her Best of CD/SACD has both songs on it. I think she only has three LPs out.

I love female vocals. That’s what I primarily play. But I still play my soft rock as well. Reminds me that I need to play Simon and Garfunkel later.

Your system is one for the books as well. It’s an all out assault on good audio. I love your room. What’s not to like about Wilson Audio and a Mac combo.
