Every move has been a significant improvement, but without a doubt to me the 802D3 was the biggest improvement of all.

My impression also.
The third generation was the biggest leap forward.

I hope it is new 800 Series... and sincerely hope they stop making boring boxes for Subwoofers and design a bit more like the ASW825/ASW855 again; that actually match their flagship offerings aesthetically :-)

Why settle? I hope it is the new 900 Series--targeting a step up to compete more directly with Wilson, Magico, et al. Insanely great sound, beautiful woodwork. Priced $15-50K.

If that's the case, I think I would grab a demo pair of 800 D3's.

That would be quite interesting! I used to own 802D2's, and moved to Wilson and have not looked back. I know for a fact that others have done the same. It would be cool for B&W to try and bring those consumers back. I'm not sure I'd do it, but it would be a worthy goal for the brand!

I got an e-mail (newsletter) from B&W and the cover picture is the back of an unfamiliar loudspeaker. Looks like an 805 D4 Anybody else got the same e-mail?
