Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, Jonathan Nott

An outstanding interpretation of this masterwork from the Swiss Tudor label. Nott stays close to the score (all repeats are also observed) but adds details for a thoughtfully considered interpretation. Recorded sound is excellent.
Nott and the Bambergers are superb in Schubert. In addition to the symphonies, I love these two:

Simple and complex at the same time, that was the criterion to choose the songs, which are often children's songs.
Well executed here.

Finishing the series of these very nice keyboard pieces of Haydn. (6 CDs in total in 3 boxes).
Hamelin knows how to play them!
Good sound.

Imago Christi
Schola Cantorum Karolus Magnus, Stan Hollaardt

I don't know if the younger generation can appreciate this style of music.
I grew up hearing it every week in church, and it slowly grew on me.
Nice set.

Often played in our living room:

Mr Demachy - Pièces de violle en musique et en tablature
Romina Lischka, basse de viole

Our copy is signed by the musician, who played a fantastic concert 2 years ago.
She must be one of the finest viola da gamba players nowadays.
