Default Your favorite Mac mono blocks?

Mac Board..... The last time around, I asked about your favorite Mac stereo amps. Considering that we're still shy one channel of amplification, I'm asking about "monaural" amplifiers this time around.

What are your favorite Mac mono blocks and why?

Thank you for your time and have a very Merry Christmas!

If I were to go that route, it would be the MC611s.

I vote for a pair of biamplified MC275VI. The only all tube mono blocks offered by McIntosh today.

I probably should've added that the "missing channel" will power a B&W HTM3S that sits between a pair of B&W 802Ns (powered by the MC452). The HTM3S is a 250W speaker, so a tube amp might not be a great fit here. Considering that both of our Mac amps are solid state, perhaps we should stick with transistors over tubes.

Technically the MC275 is a stereo amp that can be bridged. As far a pure tube mono, what happened to this one...

Smile Merry Christmas 2020

Doesn't seem to be much out there on the used market in the way of MC501s. Perhaps things will pick up after the holidays.

Merry Christmas to all my fellow McLovers!

Did they discontinue the 2301? It's still on the Mac website.

I owned the MC601s and enjoyed them but what I really wanted were the MC2301s which to me are the best sounding McIntosh amps ever!
