I totally agree with you, even if I don't like the 901's tubes.
It will be my goal to have six 1.25KW!

P.S.
Too bad we can no longer read the evolution of the project (and of the diagrams) in the X-Files section.
I consumed that topic by dint of reading it...
Really interesting!

A single set of MC2KW would be just fine for the XRT2K.

McIntosh-maTrix, my Project will be premiering Feb 24-26 2022. It has advanced significantly further than the pics in the X-Files. I am a relatively large part of it since I conceived of it and worked on it for about 15 years before giving it away to a much larger organization. Thank you for looking at the pics and comments. You are obviously my friend and I appreciate you much.

Your friend,

Charles

Great news!
Too bad not being able to be present at the event that will surely be organized in the States, right?
Anyway, I wish you the best of luck, you deserve it, really!
From what I have seen it is something immeasurable...

I've thought about it, but from what I've read and been able to hear with my own ears four MC1.25KW would be better.
Consider that the 2KW ultimately, if you read the documentation, has the same peak output at the amp level, 200 amperes to be exact, just like the MC1.25KW.
The latter, however, have main filter capacitors that can store 450 joules of energy, 20 more than the 2KW, which has 430.
They then have new wiring and mount the new McIntosh binding posts.
Let's not forget about direct LED lighting instead of optical fibers.

Valerio, yes it is so good to meet you too. You will be able to join the conference as it will go out all over the world. There will also be a documentary and a book. Many think the Project will become self perpetuating. I hope so. The world needs hope. I hope there will be an Imax movie.

The structure is theoretically perfect. It is composed of perfect very simple and beautiful geometric shapes and highly symbolic. It will exist on this planet in the future. It is enormous being one square mile, including the house and yard. It holds 324 maids, 1,254 personal servants, and 77 guests, and one very important person (ET, the Big Kahuna). That's all I can say at this time but I appreciate your interest.

Best

Charles

Hi Charles,
if the covid does not create other problems in the next year, I will try to participate in the event, it is really very interesting.

Thank you so much for letting us know in such a detailed way, I dare say, being you in the branch, scientific.

I agree, which is the reason I have been waiting on the new MC2.1K, which may never arrive. I can tell you from my own experience that the MC1.25KW superbly drives my XVX to concert levels. Certainly a Boulder 3050 will exceed them but I have no genuine interest in them at all.

I am more interested to hear the difference between the 1.25's and the 3500 MKII's. My dealer says the 3500's will drive my XVX like they are smoke. I have no interest anymore in a 2.1KW, too late for me, I'm tired of waiting.

Best

Charles

There are two of us, my friend.
I will read your comments as soon as the 3500MKII arrives in your listening room.
When they will arrive?

Unhappy

Bad news:
I was told by Chuck that McIntosh no longer has available the XRT2K!
I'm really sorry...
Not being able to buy them fills my heart with sadness.
