Default New Shunyata Venom3 Source power cord available

Hey Shunyata fans,

True to their ever-innovative nature, Shunyata have a new Venom3 model out now called the Venom3 Source. It's intended to be used with source-only devices that have low-current delivery requirements, e.g. DACs, turntables, CD players and the like. You could also use a Venom3 source as a power cable for Mac Mini music servers by using it with a C14/C7 adapter!

As it's 14 AWG instead of the 12 AWG of the Venom3, it should be easy to dress and use with these lighter components, and it's only $75.

Thanks for the heads-up Steven. With all of the talk lately about Shunyata power cords I may have to pick one up to try out.

At Venom3 prices, it's an easy experiment to do.

Mike...do you run digital out from the Oppo into your DAC 8 or do you just use it as a Bluray player on a stand-alone basis? If through the DAC 8, is there a big step up in sonics as compared to its internal DAC?

Cyril -

As you know the Oppo 83se is a very nice player - specially for the money. Since i purchased the DAC 8 last year, i use the Oppo mostly as a transport. I use a Shunyata Z Cobra digital cable from the Oppo in to the DAC 8. The difference from the stand alone player vs. the DAC 8 is significant. More dynamic, more detail and more musical via the external processor.

Thanks,
Mike

Thanks Stephen At that price I might just outfit my HT set up with these and get rid of the "stock" black cables

No worries, Don. You will actually be able to "see" the improvement if you put them on the TV and disc player, etc. as well hear improvements from your AVR.
