Default Bryston Cables - Customer Response

Bryston Cables - Vladimir Avidon

Review Text:

You lying, cheating bastards! There is no way your interconnect cable are what you present them to be.

I have recently purchase two sets of RCA interconnects and three of your regular mains that you don't even offer for sale, but where kind enough to sell to me. Why did I made this purchase? While ago I was fortunate enough to purchase your BDA-1 D/A converter. I will not comment on the difference it made, just will say, it was analogies to opening the window in the room filled with smoke. Will not comment on the nature of the smoke either. The BDA-1 came with the simple garden variety mains plug. I have immediately replaced it with the $2K super power cord. It sounded wonderful and I did put about 300 hours on the BDA with it. Obviously, you did not expect me to just leave it alone.

I played it with several different power cords from the once that came with my coffee grinder to the most expensive I have. I have noticed that the cord did make the difference in the BDA sound. It was not happy at all with the $2K cord. So, I plugged the original one, the one it came with. WTF! Your standard mains cord sounded the best! My preamp sounded better with it. My amps sounded better with it My CD player sounded better with it. That was the reason I had made the purchase.

I am all Bryston when it comes to interconnects and power cords now. How does my system sound now, you ask? Quieter, blacker, fuller, deeper, higher, cleaner.............BETTER!

Which brings me to my point. There is absolutely no way your cables can be so much less expensive and sound so much better. You are probably running some secret audio-financial experiment. You probably imbedded some ultrasonic signals in to the interconnects telling our brain that your cables are fare superior. I know, you're not telling the whole truth. You lying, cheating, beautiful bastards!

Thank you,
Vladimir from Connecticut

Hi

Yes the cords we included with the units. It is just interesting though how 'subjective' this part of the industry is

Vlad had me going there for a minute! Uber-expensive power cables sound better because you "need" them to.
