Just to add to what Serge said, I heard estimates yesterday that we have ~1,000,000 hospital beds in the U.S. About 700,000-800,000 of them are already being utilized by people hospitalized for other things, e.g. surgeries, other illness, etc.

This leaves a reserve of ~100,000 to an absolute max of 200,000 hospital beds for patients.

Additionally, there are only approximately 65,000 ventilators in USA.

The FIA just cancelled the Australian Grand Prix.

This was no doubt prompted by two of Haas Racing and one McLaren crew member, and another six team members testing positive for COVID-19.

Lewis Hamilton was openly critical of the FIA for planning to still hold the GP: “I am really very, very surprised that we are here,” he said. “I think it’s really shocking that we are all sitting in this room. There are so many fans here today and it seems like the rest of the world is reacting, probably a little bit late..." and..."Cash is King."

The list of cancellations is growing everyday.

MLB expected to cancel spring training and announce a delayed start of the regular season.

IMSA just postponed the 12hrs of Sebring this weekend until November.

NBA has suspended the season.

LaLiga cancelled their season.

NHL has suspended its season

Probably many more around the globe.

PGA has forbidden spectators after today for the foreseeable future at their tournaments.

I wonder what the Augusta is going to do???

Many NCAA regional tournaments cancelled YET the Championship is still scheduled... (only a matter of time before they cancel).
