I was all set to respond then I realized it has to be audio gear. Ok, pivot.

Legacy Focus SE or Bryston Model T speakers, upgrade my ICs to Transparent Super, Salamander Synergy racks, then hold the rest against any future repairs of gear that misbehaves (which has happened).

Excellent choices, both of them.
But they are quite different.
Demo them extensively...

That is easy. A Berkeley Alpha Reference 3 DAC. My dealer is going to bring one over and I know I will want to keep my Audio Research CD9se and the Berkeley... but it is going to be one or the other. Then I could buy the DAC and an extra Transparent AES interconnect to go dual from my Aurender music server.

I'm pretty happy with my present system, but I think I'd go for 3 JBL LSR6332's to replace my 4410's, a new receiver and a room upgrade.

I probably need a room for listening and movies more than anything.

I'd want to pay off all the friggin medical bills from my CMT-1A disease first, but for audio gear it would be a complete waste with me living in a Condo. If I lived in a normal house-
1. (2) Stereo Integrity 24" Audiophile subwoofers

2. Used set of Avalon Eidelon speakers
