I just so happen to visit his website. All the McIntosh GREAT MEN had since gone. However, their legacy will remain in our hearts. So sad ...

Here are some clips from his various sites:
——————————- A break-in period is an excuse made up by some audio manufacturers to get your ears used to the bad sound. Believing is hearing. That’s right, if you believe you will hear a difference, then there's a good chance that you will. The more components sound alike, the more inventive people become about describing the differences they think they hear. No speakers are perfect. You decide on one that has qualities you like and learn to live with the rest.....like women......or men. Eskimos have been using series and parallel woofers for hundreds of years. There are no "golden eared" listeners. There are just ordinary people who have learned what to listen for. The less that a person knows, the more imaginative story they can make up.

New to the forum and came across this news. I had not heard this and was sad to read. Roger helped me out within the past year when I was trying to track done some history on my C24 preamp. He provided me with some great info and even connected me with McIntosh to get even more info.
Was very grateful that he would help some guy with an out of the blue email request. |

Did Anthony Cordesman pass? Is Charles Randall gone? Last I heard they were both still with us and certainly each as great a man as any other in McIntosh's long and illustrious history.

Oops....... my bad. Should have been Sidney Corderman (he passed in July '20) and not Anthony Cordersman. Sorry about that.

It was disheartening to read the circumstances leading up to Roger's departure from McIntosh in 1992 and how contemptibly he was treated by the then-new president Ron Fone.
