Wow. I imagine you have every right to be excited. Just blow past that 803 nuisance AND jump a generation with significant design improvements.

FWIW -- I went from 803 S to 803 D2 (I just love the aesthetics of the D2 cases) and marvel at the improvement.

Thank you so much!
After a few days already, it’s really amazing.
Using Vertere loudspeaker cables if someone already knows them. And for all power related things it’s Audioquest. Anyone also using them?

Interesting question: when using the integrated spikes instead of using the 802 D3 on the rolls. Did it make a difference to sound quality? And if yes in what way?

Yes. It is much better on the spikes. The wheels are for transport only. Deeper and more controlled bass. More coherent presentation and better localization of instruments. In short, that is it.

Jason

I'm running a Devialet 440 PRO, but not with 802D3
I have there little brothers 803D3.

I find the Devialet works perfect with them, some times I feel like a change in amps, so i run the Devialet as a pre amp only the a pair of Carver 275 tube amps.

Sounds like you are enjoying your 802D3

Brian

Yes Devialet just works amazing with B&W speakers! Especially with their SAM technology it’s amazing to get the very best out of the individual speakers.
Just having my 802 D3 for a month now, but decided yesterday to go for a pair of 803 D3 (so if anyone is interested just send PM).
I am actually quite sad because the 802 D3 are so outstanding - but unfortunately my room is too small to exploit their potential.

That is sad, how big is your room ? my room is 17 x 11 with sloping ceilings
and the 802D3 work very well.

I have been thinking about trying a set of 802D3.

When I had my pair of 802D(1) I found the bass to be boomy in the room, but the D3's have a much tighter bass than the D1's.

I believe that only the forum admin's that can send PM's
