Default 2-CH Subs and You!

I'm enjoying my system without any subs at all. Now I'm curious what most AA'ers are doing.

I have my sub setup thru an old Realistic AV switchbox so it can be used in my HT setup or 2 Ch setup with the flip of a switch.

When I run my Dynaudios, it's off. When I run my Clearfields, it is on some of the time depending on the music and my mood.

I am using stereo subs with an active cross-over. The third sub in my signature is on the LFE channel for surround sound, i.e. not on during two channel playback.

Not anymore for 2 reasons. 1...moved to mains that can cover the low end in most of the music I listen too. 2...My processor has a very good direct pass through 2ch preamp stage so it doesn't split the signal to the LFE out.

I run my main speakers in full range mode but they go down to about 32Hz only. The stereo subs run in augment mode with an integrator to fill in what the mains can't reproduce.

A third sub is just for LFE in movies.

I definitely do. I have a pair of RELs that I have integrated seemlessly with the fronts. I do run my mains full range...I'm not a fan of crossing over main speakers in a 2 channel system. My room is not very bass responsive......I only get audible bass with my fronts down to about 45 HZ, so I like to fill in the lower freq. with the RELs....I have them crossed over very low, around 38 HZ.

I have tried Definitive Tech, JL Audio, Martin Logan and REL G1's in different iterations of my 2 channel set-ups and have never been satisfied with the results. If I ever move my gear into a large room I might consider a Thors Hammer. Otherwise I am continuing on without.

There should be another option: I have one, but I need a bigger one or another one...

Agreed, to bad I can't add or change options. Anyway, I count that answer as a YES.
