Got the new 6 guage wire run and putting new upgraded panels in both locations. They are putting it all back together. Can't wait to fire up and see if small HUM still exist or if it has been eliminated...

I'm glad to hear you actually got someone to come to your house and do this. It took a act of congress to get mine done and then I had to get someone else to fix his screwups and that's just the beginning.

Yeah the first electricians that run my dedicated outlets were num-skulls. These guys seem to know there stuff and luckily found the problem in the other panel which was melting the panel from the top. This isn't the panel my stereo was running on but they looked at it anyway and showed me. The top four breakers were melting on the back where they hook in to the panel and the panel was turning black. Almost home on this one now. He said from here if the hum don't go away 100% he would be surprised but from here with sub panel its easy to fix it. Hey man, Memphis ain't to far, I think we just did a job in Germantown and its like 7 hours.

We must have had the same electricians when our homes were built. I can tell you some horror stories about some builders in this area. Most of them once they are paid never come back even if they do a screwup job. I had some work done about 3 months ago repairing a leak. $2872 for the repair and the leak is worse than ever. Dude told me he would repair again for free.....have not seen him. The plumbers and electricians are impossible to get in this area. You are lucky to have these guys show up plus seem to know what they were doing. That's awesome.

Yeah, Memphis is about a 90 miles from my house. Great resturants, blues, rock&roll, bars, museums.....nice place to visit but wouldn't want to live there.

Hey guys, I got no hum, ha... the hum is gone, gone, gone... Also the shhhhhh which I could hear when nothing was playing if close to speaker is nearly inaudible as well. I would say it reduced by 90%. Keeping in mind I had to have my ear right to the mid driver to hear the hum. The shhhhh was a bit more noticeable but still slight, not sure if either affected playback but they are gone.

Neal.......This is great news. It all starts with the AC power, that's for sure. I hope this doesn't add an additional 100 hours of break-in time to the new rack.

I wonder if it could've had an affect on how dramatic the changes have been but also found out recently that another guy with fairly new amps had a similar dramatic break in and another guys break in was not like that. His was more gradual improvement with just minor set-backs but never got worse. So, dunno power problem and newer amps which I think were maybe 100 hours from being broke in maybe had something to do with my bad ride. Its sounding pretty damn good now.

Wow, that is a thing of beauty. The ones I got installed today have a silver bus system and are nice but now I just feel like throwing them away, thanks PHC1.
