I use a 12 piece Eighth Nerve Response system.
Works great and was easy to dial in. e i g h t h n e r v e Here is a review of Eighth Nerve Response system. I have no idea why this reviewer picked "Black" pieces in a white room. Maybe it just showed up better in the photos. 6moons audio reviews: Eighth Nerve Acoustic Room Treatments |

I'm currently using these diffusers from Agora Acoustics Streama Series / along with Shakti Hallographs. I cannot say enough good about the Hallographs. An amazing transformation to the room and fully adjustable according to listener preference.

I am building a house, and will have my main system in a large living room (basically 20 x 30 with TV, fireplace, pool table), and can pretty much do whatever I need to to make the room sound great. |

Floating floors do not help to make the room sound great, but help to minimize noise coming into or out of the room. All of that quoted post, other than the last sentence, are referring to the levels of isolation his room has (so he can crank up the volume without disturbing others in the house, and so kids or whoever running around in other areas of the house won't disturb him)
A "floating" floor is just that - usually using springs or other means to literally "float" above whatever its connected to. This way the floor can vibrate from sound without passing it on to the other areas of the house. Edit: And if your comment was only in reply to the "both levels" - he meant he has a floating floor, with a floating riser in part of the room.
