Default My Apologies to all....

Hello everyone.....First of all I want to say I am sorry. I have been "lurking" under the rader the past few weeks since this new site was created by Ivan...it looks great by the way. Some of you might remember a couple of my threads titled "tales from the Dark Side?" If you look at Dark Side Part III, I spent some time listening to the latest Ayre gear and fell in love. This particular Ayre dealer is also a small McIntosh dealer.....

To make a long story short, I traded my complete Mac system for a new Ayre system. This includes the KX-R pre-amp. MX-R monoblocs, the C-5xeMP
Sacd player, two L-5XE power conditioners, and complete Ayre/Cardas power cords, interconnects and speaker cables.

I won't get into the Mac Vs. Ayre debate because I think at this level it is impossible to go wrong. As Serge has stated over on the Ayre discussion board, it all comes down to personal taste. After putting approximately 125hrs on my new system I can say that I am happier than ever, and feel I have made a huge step up in my listening pleasure. This has however required a great deal more investment....$$$

I hope you guys will let me continue being "part of the family" as I have made many great relationships over the past while....

Sincerely,

Lyle

Hi Lyle,

Its great to hear you have made a switch to Ayre! Nothing wrong with that. Everyone has their preference and loves.

I am still a McIntosh lover BUT had made a switch on the speakers, from XRT30's to the Acapellas. If I had the monies today, I might have switch the amps to the Wavacs too.

To me, you have been a part of this big family and STILL is! So, no need for the apologies. Enjoy and share your experience with Ayre (and there is a forum there). The nicest part is here, you can write/post anywhere unlike the past where the "appropriate" forum applies.

WELCOME and for sure, I am glad to read your presence again. Hmmmm, Cardas and Ayre cables. Know what? I have made the switch from Cardas to Argento Audio. See, I also change!

Cheers!

Ok Lyle, we won't hold it against you.... Seriously though, it is a matter of preference and whatever gets you closer to music, whether it is McIntosh, Ayre, Lamm, Krell or brand XYZ. Now, the big question is, were you as impressed with the KX-R as I was?

Look at it this way - At least you will be a Breath of Fresh Ayre. Enjoy the site and we will enjoy you being a part of this group of friends.
