8 weeks and counting for a mcintosh repair

lol. thats a good thing. ok. so I am going to use this as a demo, for a new unit. master. what should I do, mcintosh or other? now remember I need a all in one unit, even though its a waste because it is only powering my center and rears. Do you have any idea?

I had my mc207 serviced at an authorized tech and it took him about 2 months to complete a meter change

I only need 6. two zone would be nice so I could run a dif room. I have to tell you, even though I am using a older B&k right now the 306 this thing is dynamic. For movies I have seen a nice change over the mht. Remember this is only used for movies,

after my email to mcintosh asking whats up with the repair. they havent even looked at the unit yet. They told me I am next in line. So I just told them to ship it back to me, dont even look at it. Oh Also now I was just told that it is not a wrnty repair, of which I have been told all along it would be. I would of never sent it to mcintosh If I knew it wasnt.

Wow, this is bad news to hear of such a bad response from a company with such a stellar reputation for product support. I have always had excellent support when ever I needed to contact them. Heck I'm suprised they didn't offer a free upgrade for all your trouble. Maybe I was just lucky.

ok this is whats going on, My item is over 3 years ok. Now my dealer sent this in under wrnty repair, my dealer and myself had the dates wrong. Mcintosh has had this unit for over 2 months,they never told the dealer or my self that this was not a wrnty repair. We called about four times over the last two months each time being told that it would be work on at the end of the week. So after this week, I email them asking why is this taking so long, just to get a responce saying non wrnty repair takes 8-10 weeks. I was shocked and didnt realise this was not wrnty, ask what were the dates. they told me, so I said why during the two months of us calling were we not told this? All this did was to be honest make me realise after the 501 problem of my amp sitting for almost a month for a brand new item, that now I am looking else were. To be honest the b&k that I have on loaner now, after using this for two days, blows the mht-200 out of the water, in sound. I am kinda shocked because it is half the price. so now I am trading in the mht for either the new b&k ref 70 or the new ARcam. I am done with mcintosh. I want something with 5 year wrnty, and I will keep what I have but any new items I think I will spend my money else. I am sure you can tell I am upset about this. not about it being out of wrnty. that happens. but the fact I was mis led for over two months and lied to every time we called. Oh my mht still has not even been looked at. sorry for the somewhat bashing post. I hope you guys understand
