Lyle,

Of course you are welcome. I speak from experience as a non-Mc owner at the moment (except for the book) the mc guys have always been very welcoming

I would like to thank everyone for the warm welcome back. It is great to know that we are all one big happy family, regardless of equipment choices. Who knows, as this is a musical journey that is constantly changing, McIntosh could be in my future. Some have said that the "full circle" sometimes starts with McIntosh, but usually ends with McIntosh.....

Glad to see you here! I remember your posts from before. It does come down to whatever makes your ears happy! Congratulations on your decision and I'm sure you will enjoy! Ted.

hey what other brands did you demo before you fell in love with ayre if you dont mind me asking? I find there products to be on my short list also. Though over the last few months sim took over the lead between these two. I like ayres CD players over moons (sim) but i like sims amps over ayres.

I tried several brands including Mark Levinson, Simaudio, and Bryston. They all had strengths and weaknesses, but overall, I preferred the musicallity of the Ayre system. I also like the fact, that similar to Mcintosh, Ayre builds all the matching components including a Sacd player. The fact that the components take up "less real estate," as mentioned from Dan, also helps.....
