Giving this EAT Forte S a test as a potential follow-up for my now sold VPI Scout. So far it sounds promising

I just can't get away from this old Technics. Dad really bought a winner when he picked up this TT back in '79. It's still going strong and rock solid speed. Not bad at all for an all original 37 year old turntable! |

Yes, the pictures are excellent! But I'm actually more impressed at what appears the total absence of dust and fingerprints. How do you do it?

No dust and fingerprints... That's due to being born into and raised with stereo equipment and music around me my entire life. If there's buttons that need to be pressed, you use your knuckles. If there happens to be a fingerprint, you wipe it off as soon as you can. Dust? I typically dust my equipment once a week. Most importantly, the kids DO NOT touch it, including the remotes! How else do you think my father and I have managed to keep this old Technics turntable around for the past 37+ years and it still look and operate like new?! I simply don't understand how some people have amazing high end stereo equipment, but it's just a few years old and all scratched and dented up, or it looks like they just got done eating a bunch of greasy fried chicken before slopping their nasty greasy fingers all of their gear. It makes no sense to me at all. I would decapitate someone if they did that to my stuff. And yes, I'm the same way with my car, watches, tools, etc, etc. |
