Default Wilson Audio Acoustic Diode

I noticed that Wilson Audio has developed these new diodes. It is my understanding that these will become available sometime in the future.

Does anyone have any information on the effectiveness of these new diodes? Will these be a worthwhile replacement for the standard diodes?

They’re isolation footers, no? I always thought a diode was an electrical device which allows current to flow in one direction, although I have heard “acoustic diode” to describe a device that allows sound waves to travel in only one direction. First time I’ve heard a speaker footer called a diode.

I've heard some describe speaker spikes as acoustic diodes.

Kal this began with Goldmund, who described the Golmund Cone a mechanical diode. Mechanical Grounding was a term coined by those guys in the early 80's.

Yup. Of course, so far we have a name, an analogy and a picture (and some YouTubes). No explanation.

This is why I started the thread. I was hoping for some more information and user experience. Perhaps in time.
