I like the baby yoga avatar So you like Qoboz better than Tidal ? What are you using as a roon server ?

One thing I find odd about Roon versus the Tidal app. Each Friday when new music is suggested to me in Tidal “within” Roon the offerings are very different than the new music that is presented to me in the Tidal app.

As good as Roon’s algorithm is in suggesting music in Roon Radio when it comes up short in identifying what new releases it presents each Friday.
good to hear from you Jim

I like Qobuz far better than Tidal as they never push music I will never listen to. (Think Beyoncé and Hip-Hop/rap).

I use an Antipodes K50 using ROON server and Squeeze as the player.

I have just moved from JRiver to Roon because I could add the Tidal subscription and have been really happy with it. There are over 40,000 songs on my Silenzo but the subscription makes more sense then to keep buying music. Maybe I should consider Qobuz…….

To me, asking Qobuz or Tidal is like asking if you want fruit or syrup with your waffles. Why not both?

I prefer the high res Qobuz versions generally (don’t know how to get Roon to search and play those first). I like some Tidal MQA versions over red book. Lots of overlap but there are thing one has the other doesn’t that I like.

MQA was all the rage a few years ago , now you don’t hear much about it ? Is MQA still a selling feature on components like it was a few years ago ? I think Tidal is the only place to play MQA ?

I did a month long cage match between Tidal and Qobuz.

Qobuz won.
