Ivan, what is your source? Do you run one HDMI for video and one for audio (assuming your BD/DVD player has two HDMI outs)? Is this generally the better approach? Source to TV direct via HDMI and then run the audio into the SSP either via the second HDMI or RCA or XLR?

I'll bet Ivan doesn't use HDMI for audio.

In the Cape I have multiple video sources; (4) BR's, Sat, PS3, Music Server. All video is sent to my Lumagen Radiance XE via HDMI. Most all audio is sent via digital coax, two are sent via HDMI (dual out-for audio comparison), and one 8-channel analog in.

Simply changing the settings on my projector from DYNAMIC to THX got rid of the ghosting on a quick check. I'll do more viewing tonight when I get home but I think bypassing all video as Ivan suggested is a good idea.

Sorry, what projector do you have? A JVC?

--- JVC DLA950; it's in his sig. ...And his source is the Oppo BDP-95 BD player.

Being a JVC expert, the only downside of using the THX setting, is that you can't calibrate to perfection by using the great CMS that the pj has. On the other hand, the JVC setting is less grainier/cleanier of the all the settings.

I'm sure the picturte could be calibrated to be even better, but I am quite happy with the picture straight out of the box. Unfortunately I do not trust anyone enough to give them a bunch of money to "professionally" calibrate it, only to have it looking exactly the same, if not worse! A lot of people think they know what they are doing... but they DON'T and then want to charge you a bucket load!!!

Trevor...MX121 out of the video loop as suggested would be the cleanest, followed by operating the MX121 source input in passthru mode (video convertor off which disables IP scaling). Essentially the same, but the MX121 still switches sources for you which may be important in your setup ATM.

The Denon IP Scaler is great for sources such as FOXTEL IQ2. You may wish to experiment with the MX121 in that regard.
