Treason for kicking a cop? Isn't that a little severe?

tony-w.......I'm so glad you asked. Perhaps some younger people know nothing of these events. Vietnam vets know exactly what I'm talking about.

During the Vietnam war, while Americans were fighting and dying, Hanoi Jane traveled behind enemy lines as a celebrity war protestor, fraternizing with the Viet Cong, taking photos of herself sitting on VC tanks, smiling and shaking hands with the enemy troops, applauding the VC who were manning an anti-aircraft gun that shoots down American planes and pilots, and many other atrocities. I will say it again, she should have been jailed for treason.

It's a crying shame, in my opinion, that a 1000 pound American bomb didn't come falling into that anti-aircraft artillery bank while she was there showing off for the eneny. That would have been a perfect, and fitting end for Hanoi Jane, as far as I am concerned. She will be Hanoi Jane to all Vietnam veterans until the day they lay her miserable old carcass in the ground.

Notice her little punk Black Power salute in her mug shot? Wow. What an activist. Her elevator never went to the top floor.

There's more here at the First Calvery Medics website: Jane Fonda A.K.A. Hanoi Jane

Even the troops in Iraq know what a traitor Jane Fonda is.

I know all about this one. The "Carpet Bombing" wasn't very effective on the VC either.

Experience speaking?

Having B52's drop their loads just miles away - is the most awesome and scariest sounds anyone wants to hear. We were glad they were on their side & prayed many, many times, one didn't stray off course.

The VC had a word for B52's --Wispering Death because they had no inkling of anything about to happen until the 1st one hit. Unfortunately, 500 pound bombs do very little damage in a jungle.

Screw JF.

Wars are horrible and I hope no one here is going to attack anyone who refused to go or otherwise was able to get out of being involved in this terrible situation. "Make love not war" was a popular slogan at the time.

I agree. I never saw any combat while in the Army. I did have a friend that was a Ranger in the Panama situation though. Those guys don't take prisoners, they only take over.
When I came to Dallas in 1987,I saw many patients were shooting/stabbing each other which was sort of like a war zone.
