I guess that is correct. However, the Esotec is still a silk dome and a very good one at that. I do think that the implementation is what brings the tweeter to its glory. Apparently, the Esotar would not fit in the dimensions that Franco wanted to use for the GH.
Having heard both the Esotar extensively in other speakers and of course living with the GH daily, I can state that I do NOT think anything was left behind by Franco's decision. |

How big a soundstage do the GE throw in a medium size room? My room is small-medium and I'm not sure if I want to move to a floorstander yet. Looking into a finding something with a bigger stage than my kef's

Much larger than you would assume provided they have enough current. They are fairly large stand mounts to begin with, but they are designed for relatively large spaces. What exactly are your room measurements? Mine is pretty small at 12x15.5' with a 9.5' ceiling. I have tried many floors stander's and every one would overdrive the bass in my room.

about the same as yours 16x14 10ft ceilings, yeah the bass was what I was worried about. I love my set up now bc the remote for my kefs allows me to adjust the bass on the fly.

If you run the GE's without a Sub, you will not have a problem with overpowering bass. It truly is a one of a kind speaker.
